Dear friends!
Russia has carried
out an act of aggression towards Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus
we take it upon ourselves to inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will
provide you with yet another
viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and
objective.
March 24 – Russia has not given up the plan named
“Russian spring” to invade the territory of Ukraine. 100000 Russian soldiers
are stationed at Ukraine’s border. Over 10000 citizens have been mobilized to
Ukrainian army, said Andriy Parubiy, Secretary of National Security and Defense
Council of Ukraine.
March 24 – The North Atlantic Alliance will not
strengthen its military presence at the Eastern NATO border, informs Germany’s
Federal Ministry of Defence. At the same time, reconnaissance aircraft AWACS
will be used more often over Poland and Romania.
March 24 – Armed people on high speed boats are
attacking Ukrainian minesweeper “Cherkasy”. Russians have invaded landing ship
“Kostyantyn Olshanskyi”.
March 24 – National Security and Defense Council of
Ukraine has charged the Ministry of Defence with re-stationing military units,
which are located in Crimea.
March 24 – Overall majority of Russians – 93% support
the annexation of Crimea, 80% of them support it even as a result of war,
informs All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion. Rating of the
President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has reached an ultimate high in
the last five years – 75,7%.
March 24 – Russian Federation is prohibiting the
families of Ukrainian servicemen to leave the territory of the Autonomous
Republic of Crimea.
March 24 – Russian invaders have brutally treated
Ukrainian captives, who were later set free – they were electrified, shot (one
has two legs shot) and had part of their ear cut off, say two captives Andriy
Shchekun and Yuriy Shevchenko.
March 24 – Cadets of Nakhimov Navy Academy in
Sevastopol, who didn’t support the transition of the Academy to Russian Federation,
could be transferred to another college in Ukraine. 80 out of 250 cadets may be
transferred to Odesa in the next 10 days.
March 24 – Ukraine is not considering renewing its
nuclear weapons and confirms its non-nuclear status, said Andrii Deshchytsia,
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine during Nuclear Security Summit in Hague.
