Russia has carried out an act of aggression towards Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and objective.

April 15 – From the date of Crimea’s annexation, Ukrainian border guards have prohibited entry to approximately 12 thousand Russian nationals. These people are suspected to be part of separatist putsch incited by Russian Federation in Ukraine.

April 15 – German company RWE AG has started reverse delivery of gas through Poland to Ukraine. According to the agreement the volume of supplied gas may amount to 10 billion cubic meters per year.

April 15 – Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has identified the leader of Russian subversive group, which is operating in Sloviansk. He is Igor Strelkov, the citizen of Russian Federation and special squad officer of Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. SSU has started criminal inquiry regarding the fact of the ordering of intentional murder by Strelkov and “committing the actions in the detriment of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, carrying out sabotage and subversion actions and organizing mass riots in the eastern regions of our country”.

April 15 – Supreme Council of Ukraine has passed a Law envisaging citizen’s rights and freedoms as well as legal regime at temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine – in Crimea.

April 15 – Security Service of Ukraine has determined that the assets of a Russian bank were used to finance terrorist groups in Eastern Ukraine, informed SSU. During March-April this year, officials of the bank (VTB Bank? Sberbank of Russia?) funded the organizers of terrorist groups and converted 45 million UAH into cash. It was also established that every day the bank transferred from 200 to 500 USD to payment cards issued to the members of these terrorist groups.

April 15 – NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen accused Moscow of involvement in the separatist rebellions in Eastern Ukraine.

April 15 – “Unknown” well-equipped men wearing an unmarked green uniform (Russian special troops) and carrying submachine guns have tried to seize the airfield in Kramatorsk. Their attack was repulsed. Planes and helicopters took off the runway.

April 15 – A man who was wearing camouflage clothing and in Horlivka, Donetsk oblast presented himself as Russian lieutenant-colonel from Simferopol, who was also leading the militia in the whole city, turned out to be a local criminal and his surname is Bezlei.

April 15 – Kyiv residents are informed about plan of action in case of military-related emergency situations. Appropriate announcements are placed on poster boards of Kyiv.
