April 28 – 13 extremists have been detained by militia officers in Kharkiv. These people were posing as “supporter of the federalization” of Ukraine. Special devices, bats, helmets, smoke puff charges, “Molotov cocktails” were confiscated from them.

 

April 28 – In Russia access is denied to a range of Ukrainian websites.

 

April 28 – Separatists are planning to exchange captured officers from “Alfa” special unit of Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) for their accomplices (separatists) who were detained before.

 

April 28 – Within the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) the SSU managed to establish a real name of the officer of Russia’s Main Intelligence Department who is known in Ukraine as Ihor Strielkov. The real name of the coordinator of terrorist interventions in Sloviansk is Igor Vsevolodovych Girkin. He is a Russian national, colonel, born on December 17th, 1970, passport of a Russian citizen No. 4506460961, registered in Moscow at the address: Apt. 136, 8b Shenkurskii passage. Girkin-Strielkov has ordered the abduction of OSCE monitors, reports SSU.

 

April 28 – In Russia, the problem of neo-Nazi groups is much more pressing than in Ukraine, states Amnesty International.

 

April 28 – Terrorists have seized the city council building in the city of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk oblast.

 

April 28 – From his handler in Moscow, Igor Perepechaienko, who is a separatist from Sloviansk, has received 19,000 USD and a telephone conversations encrypting device to be used by the intelligence and subversive group of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of Russia Armed Forces. The leader of the subversive group is “Strielok”, Russian citizen Girkin (Strielkov). Perepechaienko was detained at the Donetsk airport on his way back from Moscow to Ukraine, informs SSU.

 

April 28 – Around 12 pm on Monday, an attempt was made on Gennadiy Kernes’s (Kharkiv city Mayor) life. He has been wounded and operated upon. He was shot in the back from a nearby forest.

 

April 28 – More Russian nationals and companies were added to OFAC SDN List. All the companies and banks are controlled by either Gennadiy Tymchenko or Arkady and Boris Rotenberg and “Rossiya” Bank.

 

April 28 – Ukraine and Slovakia have agreed on reverse gas supply deal, which makes Ukraine less dependable on Russian gas.
